Our commitment
Virginia Land Solutions is committed to making valandsolutions.com accessible to the widest possible audience, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is part of how we treat every property owner we work with — with respect and without unnecessary friction.
Standards we follow
We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, headings, and page structure.
- Descriptive alternative text for informative images.
- Form fields with visible labels and clear error messages.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, buttons, and forms — including the multi-step property intake form.
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA for body text and controls.
- Responsive layouts that scale on phones, tablets, and desktops without loss of content or functionality.
- Support for browser zoom and user font-size preferences.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We continue to review the site as we add content and features, and as we learn more about how visitors use it. If you find an area that does not work well for you, we want to hear about it and improve it.
Known limitations
Some third-party content (for example, embedded maps or documents opened in a new window) may not fully meet our accessibility standards. Where a third-party component creates a barrier, please contact us and we will help you access the same information in another way.
Assistance and alternate formats
If any part of this website is difficult to use, or you would like to receive information in a different format (large print, plain text, a phone call, or otherwise), please contact us and we will do our best to help. We are also happy to walk you through the property intake process by phone.
How to report an accessibility issue
If you experience an accessibility barrier on our website, please let us know what happened, the page you were on, and the assistive technology or browser you were using (if you know). We will respond as promptly as we can.
